Our Candles
Canyon Scents Candle ingredients are all made here in the US. The quality of our wax, fragrance, and wicks is our first priority!
We start with a sturdy, tempered, hand-blown glass jar made by Anchor Hocking here in the USA. Our hand-poured candles are made with environmentally safe products and produced from renewable resources.
Our Wax - We pour our candles with the highest quality, premium soybean blend and food-grade blend paraffin wax.
Our Fragrance - .Our custom fragrance blends use the highest quality premium essential oils and synthetic oils, which is what makes our signature scents stand out above the competition! The fragrance, wax, and colors are thoroughly mixed and poured at the perfect temperature, and each of our unique fragrances goes through a rigorous testing process before it is released.
Our Wicks - We use two unbleached cotton wicks made right here in the USA! All our wicks are made with 100% cotton, and some with 100% cotton and zinc in the core of the wick to help maintain a slow even burn, depending on the fragrance. The correct balance of wicks, wax and fragrance ensure that your candle will have an even clean even burn, without soot, and smell just as strong from top to bottom. Two wicks allow the candle to liquefy across the top ensuring a safe and even burn.
Best practices - trim your wicks after 4 hours of burn time. This ensures you will have a safe, clean long-lasting candle.
Our candles are poured with the utmost care, but you can help prolong the life of your candles, and ensure a safe, long-lasting fragrance experience with these easy tips!
- Trim wicks to ¼ inch. This adds additional hours to the lifespan of your candle and stops additional soot build-up from masking the incredible fragrance. Check out our wick trimmers for an easy, pre-measured cut!
- Never burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Because Canyon Scents candles permeate the room quickly and are the strongest-fragranced candle on the market, there’s no need to burn for long periods of time to disperse the fragrance. Prolong the life of your candle by adhering to recommended burn times.
- Do not burn candle if there is only 1/4 inch of wax or less at bottom of candle. The flame from candle could break the glass if it gets to close to the bottom or sides of the jar. Even though our Jars are made by Anchor Hawking (the best heat resistant glass ware) please don't let the wax go below 1/4 inch from bottom of candle. Safety Tip - safety tab at the bottom of wick should extinguish the candle with in 1/2 inch of wax in jar. Stay safe and replace your candles when the wax reaches 1/4-1/2 inch from the bottom of the jar.
Using our Wick Dippers to extinguish your candles by dipping the wicks into the liquified wax will eliminate smoke from blowing candles out and it will coat the wick for the next time you are ready to light your candles.
- Do not leave candle unattended. Any type of fire is dangerous.
By following these instructions (which are also printed on the bottom label of your candle) you can prolong the life of your candles and maintain a safe environment in your home!
